Daliya was a real estate professional, showing brand-new houses with beautiful new cabinets, flawless new carpeting, and fresh coats of paint. These perfect mansions had unintended effects on Daliya’s health. Fumes from pressboard, carpet glues, and fresh paint caused crippling headaches, general muscle aches, severe joint pain, fatigue, disorientation, inability to think clearly or breathe. Everything in her environment began to smell of chemicals.
She removed all furniture and books from her home and slept out side in direct wind flow from the sea. She experienced fear, panic and disbelief that she was now an environmental injury statistic and disabled. Nobody believed her symptoms from the slightest whiff of a perfume, a new carpet or new car.
Daliya could not leave her bed until an environmental doctor coaxed her into improved health. Under his direction she became an expert on sourcing the things needed to fight chemical sensitivity. She learned how to survive in a toxic world and is now coaching others thru her web service,
www.nontoxic.com.
She sleeps on an organic mattress, uses organic cotton sheets and clothing and eats all manner of organic food in rotation. She uses antioxidant nutrients probiotics, fish oil, and all green foods. Psyllium fiber and bentonite clay and cilantro clear toxins from the gut, and enzymes optimize digestion. Perhaps most importantly, she replaced despair and fear with activism.
She is now working towards making her immediate environment safer and Nirvana Safe Haven makes the environment of others safer. Daliya still cannot be near a new toxic carpet, new car or perfumes even after all these efforts but still can enjoy woods, beaches, parks and clean cool wind and is grateful for her safer, nontoxic home and her ability to be of service for others experiencing environmental and chemical injuries.
